Andrew Schwartz is an Assistant Professor of Theatre at Auburn University specializing in acting and directing. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Penn State, a Diplôme d'études théâtrales from the Ecole Florent School of Theater in Paris, and an MFA in Acting from the National Theatre Conservatory in Denver, CO.
Recent directing credits include Spring Awakening, The Crucible, Little Shop of Horrors, The Threepenny Opera, Twelfth Night, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Our Town, and We are Proud to Present… He also directed the college premiere of the hit comedy Shakespeare in Love at the University of South Carolina.
Professionally, he has worked in theaters internationally, Broadway and Off Broadway in NYC, and regionally including The New Victory Theatre (NYC), Lincoln Center Institute (NYC), Classic Stage Company (NYC), The Edinburgh Fringe Festival, The Folger Theatre, La Jolla Playhouse, The L.A. Shakespeare Festival, The Denver Center for the Performing Arts, The Shakespeare Theatre of NJ, The Globe Theater in Neuss, Germany, The Shakespeare Company of India, and the Aegean Festival in Athens, Greece.
Andrew is a proud member of Actor's Equity Association.
